IGT and FDJ Gaming Solutions France Agree Cross-Licensing Deal

It’s been in the works for a while, but International Game Technology (IGT) has struck up a cross-licensing deal with FDJ Gaming Solutions France (FGS).

Cross-licensing arrangements are becoming more common as they prove mutually beneficial, and this will undoubtedly be the case here for IGT and FGS.

The IGT and FGS deal will allow both enterprises to access and utilise a suite of each other’s games and content, which will apply to French and Italian markets. IGT can integrate the full FGS game portfolio into Lotterie Nazionali Srl of the Italian market. While FGS, a subsidiary of La Francaise des Jeux (FDJ Group), will have access to IGT’s full collection of instant games, such as video slots.

IGT are one of the market leaders in the iGaming sector, with their library of content highly sought after by many, thanks to it being modern, highly rated and, in some cases, award-winning. They also happen to be the leading technology provider to the majority of the top twenty-five lotteries on the planet, serving eight of the ten largest and twenty-five across the US.

FDJ Group, a gaming operator hailing from France, provides lottery, sports betting and poker services to their customer base. FGS is a division of FDJ Group, and they deliver betting services and solutions to operators who are partners, either with FGS or FDJ Group.

IGT are undoubtedly one of the largest manufacturers of slot machines and video slots on the planet today. However, one of their key strengths, one that they have displayed more of in recent times, is their desire to strike up mutually beneficial cross-licensing agreements, such as the one penned with FGS.

IGT has also acquired a number of companies over the years, primarily from the iGaming sphere. This has allowed their collection of games, such as slots, to snowball while enabling them to access other niches easily. FGS and others who partner up with IGT will also be able to reap the rewards of this approach.
