IGT and FDJ Gaming Solutions France Agree Cross-Licensing Deal
Paul M |It’s been in the works for a while, but International Game Technology (IGT) has struck up a cross-licensing deal with FDJ Gaming Solutions France (FGS).
Cross-licensing arrangements are becoming more common as they prove mutually beneficial, and this will undoubtedly be the case here for IGT and FGS.
The IGT and FGS deal will allow both enterprises to access and utilise a suite of each other’s games and content, which will apply to French and Italian markets. IGT can integrate the full FGS game portfolio into Lotterie Nazionali Srl of the Italian market. While FGS, a subsidiary of La Francaise des Jeux (FDJ Group), will have access to IGT’s full collection of instant games, such as video slots.
IGT are one of the market leaders in the iGaming sector, with their library of content highly sought after by many, thanks to it being modern, highly rated and, in some cases, award-winning. They also happen to be the leading technology provider to the majority of the top twenty-five lotteries on the planet, serving eight of the ten largest and twenty-five across the US.
Srini Nedunuri
Speaking about news of the cross-licensing deal with FGS, Srini Nedunuri, SVP of Global iLottery at IGT, said: “Italy and France are home to two of the most sophisticated and successful lotteries in the world, operated by IGT and FDJ Group, respectively.
“Our agreement with FGS reflects a commitment to delivering premier eInstant games and responsible iLottery experiences to millions of lottery players in these two countries and offers a gateway for deploying additional world-class content.”

Pascal Blyau, Vice President of B2B at FDJ, commented: “This cross-licensing content agreement with IGT is an exciting step for FGS as we look to further expand our footprint across Europe and provide the most compelling eInstant games to the players of La Française des Jeux in France.
“As the leader in global lottery, IGT has a wide variety of top-performing, award-winning content that will enhance our current offering so players can continue enjoying the ultimate lottery playing experiences.”
IGT – Leaders In The Industry
IGT are undoubtedly one of the largest manufacturers of slot machines and video slots on the planet today. They’ve long focused on the land-based casino industry, but they’re also a big name in the online space. However, one of their key strengths, one that they have displayed more of in recent times, is their desire to strike up mutually beneficial cross-licensing agreements, such as the one penned with FGS.
IGT has also acquired a number of companies over the years, primarily from the iGaming sphere. This has allowed their collection of games, such as slots, to snowball while enabling them to access other niches easily. FGS and others who partner up with IGT will also be able to reap the rewards of this approach.
