Legal Troubles Mount for Rapper Blueface: Las Vegas Arrest

Rapper Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Jamall Porter, is facing new legal troubles after being arrested once again in Las Vegas. This arrest comes after a previous arrest in November 2022, where he was charged with attempted murder and other crimes. Blueface was released on bail for $50,000 following the initial arrest.

Las Vegas Court

As Blueface arrived at a Las Vegas courthouse for a preliminary hearing on the previous charges, he was arrested by police on a separate charge of robbery. His attorneys, Lisa Rasmussen and Kristina Wildeveld, confirmed the new arrest, stating that it involved the alleged taking of a cell phone from a woman at the Palms casino. They expressed their intention to defend him in both cases.

Although court records show that the robbery report was filed, no further details about the case have been disclosed. Blueface has not yet been formally charged in connection with this recent arrest. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Blueface’s attorneys have not responded to requests for comment on the matter.

Earlier Arrest

The earlier arrest in 2022 stemmed from an alleged shooting, in which Blueface was accused of shooting a man. He was booked for attempted murder, use of a deadly weapon, and discharging a gun into an occupied structure, vehicle, or craft. Additionally, he faced charges for operating an unregistered vehicle, trailer, or semi.

Chrisean Rock

During the arrest in November, Blueface’s then-girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, was reportedly present. Footage of the incident captured Blueface sitting on a bench with Rock when plainclothes officers approached and pushed him against a wall. More officers joined in, leading to Blueface being tackled to the ground. The footage showed him being handcuffed and searched before being taken away.

Police Custody

In the recent development, Blueface was arrested while in court and taken into police custody for his alleged involvement in the Las Vegas robbery. This occurred during a preliminary hearing for his attempted murder charges. He was charged with a felony and taken into custody.

The rapper was born in Los Angeles and gained attention for his association with the School Yard Crips street gang.

Prior to these recent arrests, Blueface had been previously arrested in November 2018 for shooting at an occupied vehicle after firing at a gas station robber. He was also arrested in February 2019 for felony gun possession when law enforcement discovered a loaded, unregistered handgun in his possession.
