Partnership Between 888casino and Edict Egaming Announced

Edict Egaming and 888casino have announced they are joining forces, with a new partnership between the two companies signed and sealed.

The partnership deal will allow Merkur games to be included in the selection at 888casino, broadening their portfolio and extending the choice for customers.

Expanding the 888casino Library

Edict is part of the giant Gauselmann Group, which is a powerhouse in the world of gaming and casinos.

There are more than 40 subsidiaries under the Gauselmann umbrella, including Edict, Merkur Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, Betcom Ltd, and Sunshine Games LLC, among others. Their history dates back to 1957 when young entrepreneur Paul Gauselmann set up an independent gaming operation. Today, the Gauselmann Group is a global empire, offering both land and online gaming all around the world.

888casino is a similarly successful brand, representing the casino operations of 888 Holdings. They first signed a deal with Merkur in 2017 when two titles were made available at the casino, but this latest agreement will expand what 888 can offer from the Merkur library.

Merkur slots are delivered via Edict, and there are more than 200 titles in Edict’s portfolio. The partnership with 888casino means that a much wider number of Merkur slots will be made available for customers to play.

There are approximately 10 Merkur slots available at 888casino, including Blazing Star, El Torero, and Eye of Horus, but this number will grow in the coming weeks.

Merkur is considered to be one of the leading slot studios and is a popular choice among players.

Welcomed By Both Companies

The heads of both Edict and the 888 Holdings welcomed the agreement as a positive move for both companies.

Dominic-Daniel Liénard, the CEO of Edict Egaming, described 888casino as “one of the world’s leading casino brands” and said they were “proud to be able to offer 888casino users our diverse portfolio of Merkur games and are confident that our offering will be met with great enthusiasm by customers.”

The international managing director of 888 Group, Nir Hakarmeli, was similarly upbeat about the collaboration, saying that the casino brand was “delighted” to be working with Edict, describing the partnership as “critical” for their long-term strategy.

The 888 Group chief pointed to the addition of the Merkur slots as an important step in creating a “content-rich portfolio of games”.

This deal adds to recent global growth for the 888 Group, with games from R. Franco Digital and the 1×2 Network also being acquired.
